Leave a Nest Capital Makes Additional Investment in Second Heart Inc.

Leave a Nest Group, through its investment arm Leave a Nest Capital Co., Ltd., has invested in Second Heart Inc. (Head Office: Nagaokakyo, Kyoto, Japan; Representative Director and CEO: Yukihiro Ishida; hereinafter “Second Heart”).

Second Heart is a deep-tech startup with the vision of “Creating a Future Where People Can Continue to Participate in Society.” By reducing the risk of diabetes-related lower-limb amputations, the company aims to improve patients’ quality of life (QOL) while reducing healthcare costs.

Second Heart has actively participated in Leave a Nest’s Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference and Kansai Tech Planter since its establishment in 2023. In 2024, the company received two Corporate Awards at the 2nd Kansai Tech Planter Grand Prix. Through Leave a Nest’s international expansion program, Second Heart established a base at Center of Garage Malaysia and has been actively expanding its business overseas in collaboration with the Leave a Nest Group.

Since July 2025, Leave a Nest Group has supported Second Heart through an investment arm by the Germination Fund I Limited Partnership. With this additional investment, Leave a Nest Group aims to further accelerate the development and social implementation of technologies rooted in real medical needs and driven by the knowledge and expertise of healthcare professionals.

With this funding, Second Heart will accelerate demonstration projects in collaboration with local medical institutions across Southeast Asia, beginning with Malaysia and Indonesia. By promoting the rapid social implementation of its technology in each region, the company aims to support the global growth of Japanese healthcare innovation.

Moving forward, Leave a Nest Group will continue creating deep technologies that solve deep issues across a wide range of fields and contribute to the betterment of the planet.
