Leave a Nest Capital President Shuichiro Takahashi Makes First Speaking Appearance at TECH GARAGE Seminar Vol. 11

Leave a Nest Capital Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Shuichiro Takahashi; hereinafter “Leave a Nest Capital”) spoke at “TECH GARAGE Seminar Vol. 11: From Prototyping to Listing,” held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the Center of Garage Malaysia in Cyberjaya, Malaysia.

The event marked Takahashi’s first speaking engagement since assuming his role as President and Representative Director of Leave a Nest Capital on July 1, 2026.

TECH GARAGE Seminar brings together startups, researchers, corporations, investors, manufacturers, and other innovation ecosystem stakeholders to share the knowledge and networks needed to commercialize technologies and grow businesses. Under the theme “From Prototyping to Listing,” the 11th edition explored the startup growth journey, covering prototyping, manufacturing, fundraising, business expansion, and preparation for an initial public offering (IPO).

Participants included portfolio companies of Leave a Nest Capital and 144 Ventures, another Leave a Nest Group company, as well as TECH PLANTER Asia finalists and Deep Tech Tour participants. These research-driven startups have been supported by or collaborated with the Leave a Nest Group through its investment activities and startup development programs.

Takahashi joined the Fireside Chat Session, “Gateway to Growth: From Venture Capital to IPO.” The session brought together experts from across the corporate growth and financing ecosystem, including representatives from Cradle Seed Ventures, UntroD Capital Asia, and Bursa Malaysia.

During the session, the participating venture capital firms introduced their investment focus, investment structures, and approaches to supporting startups. The startup participants gained a deeper understanding of the factors investors consider when making investment decisions and the preparations expected of companies at different stages of growth.

The discussion also covered key considerations when raising capital, building relationships with investors, strengthening management and organizational foundations as a business expands, and preparing for a potential IPO. Beyond fundraising, the speakers discussed how research-driven startups can build long-term relationships with investors and corporate partners.

On July 1, 2026, Leave a Nest Capital appointed Takahashi as its new President and Representative Director and established the Cross-Border Foundation Development Division. The division supports Japanese startups expanding overseas and international startups entering the Japanese market by helping them establish the management foundations required for cross-border business development. Its services include overseas company incorporation, accounting, human resources and legal operations, capital strategy, and organizational design.

Through Takahashi’s first speaking engagement under the company’s new management structure, Leave a Nest Capital shared the direction of its strengthened cross-border support activities. The event also provided an opportunity to exchange insights with Malaysian startups, investors, and capital market stakeholders on the financing, organizational structures, and management foundations required for research-driven startups to grow across borders.

Leave a Nest Capital will continue to strengthen its relationships with investors, research institutions, corporations, and capital market stakeholders in Japan and overseas. Through these efforts, the company aims to create an environment in which research-driven startups can pursue new opportunities and take on challenges across borders.
