2026.07.01
Leave a Nest Capital Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Shuichiro Takahashi; hereinafter “Leave a Nest Capital”) announces that, effective July 1, 2026, it has strengthened its management structure through the appointment of a new President and Representative Director and the introduction of a two-Executive Vice President structure.
At the same time, the company has established the Cross-Border Foundation Development Division to strengthen group management and further support the international expansion of research-based startups.
Leave a Nest Capital was established in January 2020 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Leave a Nest Co., Ltd. Guided by the Leave a Nest Group’s shared vision of “Advancing Science and Technology for Global Happiness,” the company operates under the mission of “Designing effective organizational management through the power of human capital,” supporting research-based startups as they take on new challenges.
To date, Leave a Nest Capital has supported research-based startups by developing the foundations necessary for sustainable management, including accounting, labor management, and organizational operations. The company has also invested in more than 70 companies in Japan and overseas, supporting their growth from both management and business perspectives.
In recent years, alongside the overseas expansion of Japan-based startups, an increasing number of overseas startups supported by the Leave a Nest Group have established Japanese entities and begun developing full-scale collaborations with Japanese companies.
Against this backdrop, Leave a Nest Capital has strengthened its management structure as outlined below to further enhance its ability to support research-based startups operating across borders, including through the development of management foundations, capital strategies, organizational design, and corporate functions.
Effective July 1, 2026, Shuichiro Takahashi succeeded Masahiro Ikegami as President and Representative Director of Leave a Nest Capital.

To further strengthen its management and business execution capabilities, Leave a Nest Capital has appointed two Executive Vice Presidents.

Masami Tsukui will lead the development of management foundations that support organizational growth, drawing on her experience in assisting startup companies with accounting, labor management, and the establishment of corporate administrative functions.
Maiko Miyashita will lead the development of management foundations for research-based startups operating globally, leveraging her experience in managing overseas subsidiaries within the Leave a Nest Group, supporting Japanese companies expanding overseas, and assisting overseas companies entering the Japanese market.
Leave a Nest Capital has established the Cross-Border Foundation Development Division to support both Japan-based startups expanding overseas and overseas startups entering Japan.
The new division will provide integrated support for building the management foundations required for cross-border business development, including overseas entity establishment, accounting, labor and legal frameworks, capital strategy, and organizational design.
The Leave a Nest Group has long supported Japanese companies expanding internationally while also assisting startups, particularly those from Southeast Asia, in establishing Japanese entities and entering the Japanese market. As cross-border business development continues to increase, Leave a Nest Capital will further strengthen its ability to support research-based startups taking on challenges beyond national borders by helping them build robust management foundations for sustainable growth.
Maiko Miyashita, the Executive Vice President, will concurrently serve as General Manager of the Cross-Border Foundation Development Division and lead its operations.
Masahiro Ikegami, Representative Director
“When Takahashi and I established Leave a Nest Capital as Co-Representative Directors in 2020, we shared a common belief: entrepreneurs can take greater leaps when there is an organization alongside them to build and strengthen the foundations of management during the earliest stages of their ventures.
Supporting companies in areas such as accounting and labor management, as well as through germination investment, may not always be the most visible work, but these are precisely the areas that form the foundation for entrepreneurs to take on greater challenges—and they are where I have devoted much of my passion.
Now that our own challenges are expanding beyond national borders, I am passing the role of President to Takahashi. As Representative Director, I will continue to focus on strengthening the foundations of each company we support.
When entrepreneurs from around the world use Japan as a foothold for global growth, I want them to be able to focus on moving forward without being held back by concerns about management. We will continue building those foundations, one solid step at a time.”
Shuichiro Takahashi, President and Representative Director
“Since taking on responsibility for the management of Leave a Nest in 2010 and driving the company’s growth, I have seen firsthand how the foundations for startup management built by Ikegami have become a powerful force supporting the challenges undertaken across our Group.
It is precisely because we have this solid foundation that we can now move to the next stage and take on challenges on a global scale.
I have encountered many startups with outstanding technologies and research achievements that have nevertheless been forced to slow their progress because of challenges in management and organizational development. This is why I believe our role is to create an environment that enables entrepreneurs and companies to take on challenges on the global stage. Japan to the world, and the world to Japan. We aim to stand alongside startups that cross borders in pursuit of new opportunities and continue supporting them throughout their journey.”
Leave a Nest Capital will continue to create an environment in which research-based startups can take on challenges across borders by “Designing effective organizational management through the power of human capital.”
Through these efforts, we will contribute to realizing the Leave a Nest Group’s vision of “Advancing Science and Technology for Global Happiness.” We sincerely appreciate your continued support and cooperation.
