Science Castle Asia is one of the largest academic conferences in Asia where junior high school and high school students take the lead in presenting their own research and engaging with peers across national and disciplinary boundaries. In the 2025 edition, the event brought together 321 research teams from 10 countries, including participants from across Asia and Russia, and attracted more than 2,000 attendees through research presentations, poster sessions, and other interactive programs.
Leave a Nest Capital joined the event in support of its purpose to create a space where young researchers present their work, engage with diverse perspectives beyond borders and cultures, and move toward their next challenges, participating as an active presence alongside the next generation of researchers.
Student Workshop: “Entrepreneurship Begins from Science” (Day 1)

On the first day, Leave a Nest Capital hosted a student workshop under the theme “Entrepreneurship Begins from Science.” Founders from Leave a Nest Capital’s Malaysian portfolio startups—Robopreneur Sdn. Bhd., AlphaSwift Sdn. Bhd., and AceT Innovates Sdn. Bhd.—took part in the session as entrepreneurs who began their journeys from a strong interest in science and technology.
The speakers shared how their experiences in research influenced their entrepreneurial paths, explaining how curiosity and hands-on exploration led to startup creation and engagement with real-world challenges. Through these stories, students were able to see how research can naturally extend into diverse career paths and forms of engagement with society.
These sessions encouraged students to reflect on how their own research interests might connect to their future aspirations. One participant commented, “I love robotics, and it was truly inspiring to hear directly from entrepreneurs working in the robotics field.”
Poster Evaluation and Awards (Day 2)

On the second day, Masahiro Ikegami, President & CEO of Leave a Nest Capital, participated as a poster judge, providing feedback by articulating key characteristics observed in how students approached their research and engaged in discussion. From the perspective of encouraging the next stage of their research, he presented awards to teams that left a particularly strong impression for their entrepreneurial spirit.
Moving forward, Leave a Nest Capital will continue exploring new possibilities that connect research and society, through ongoing engagement with people who are deeply committed to their research.
